5-Star Reviews for Mare in November
What a lovely feeling it is when you know your customers are enjoying your restaurant! Here are a couple of great reviews our customers left us in the past month:
“Great evening with excellent food
Went here on the recommendation of a local wine store. Service was friendly, food excellent – we had a series of appetizers (carpaccio, calamari and tuna tartareand) with some good wine by the glass. Never even went to the entrees. They had a good selection of fresh oysters as well.”
“This is one of the toughest places to find in the North End.
But once you find this place, you will be glad that you did.
We were heading to the Elton John Concert at TD Garden, and decided to hve some oysters and food befre we hit the show.
I found mention of Mare — which I had never hear of and decided to check it out — getting a reservation easily, and getting there before 6:15 worked best for us.
With a lively little bar, and with a retractible roof for summertime weather — this place provided excellent food, at a great value.
We started with Oysters, and added Carpaccio. the oysters were all fresh and local, while the carpaccio was very good, with a nice amount of arugala, and some good parmesan cheese.
My wife added Mussels, and off to the concert we headed!”
“The stuffed lobster was so good! And the oysters were very fresh. But don’t forget to make a reservation before you get there.”
Zucchini blossoms- OUT OF THIS WORLD! Do not miss!!! So unique and so absolutely delicious. 6/5
Lobater parpadillo (sp?) – amazing sauce. 5/5
Truffle crusted tuna – 3.5/5- fine just not as special, and we get higher expectations at these prices.”
“Best place around. The Cervini Family is always happy to see Frank Depasquale and enjoy all his restaurants. With out a doubt the most authentic in Boston!! 5 stars all the way. Thank you for a wonderful family get together!
“I like this place a lot, for the fire pit sofas but also for the bread, and delicious humongous appetizers. I like the service, it’s not too overbearing and to the point. They may only slightly trying to kick you out on a very busy Saturday night, but who can blame them if there’s a line of semi-sober guests who want your spot by the fire pit. I also like it’s kind of hidden, and their bakery is lovely.”
